Deconstruction (Green Demolition) in Park City, UT

Piece-by-piece demolition by hand to salvage materials and limit landfill waste.

Deconstruction is also known as green demolition or demolition by hand. We take the house apart piece by piece to salvage as many materials as possible.

Instead of crushing a structure and hauling it all to the landfill, we carefully remove reusable items first: cabinets, doors, windows, fixtures, flooring, timbers and beams, and other materials with a second life. The rest is sorted so wood, metal, concrete and other recyclables go to recycling instead of the dump.

Deconstruction takes more labor than a machine teardown, but it keeps a large share of a building out of the landfill. That fits Park City's sustainability goals and what many mountain homeowners care about. Old-growth lumber and timbers from older cabins and homes often have real reuse value.

We'll walk the property with you, point out what's worth saving, and give you a straight answer on how deconstruction compares to a standard demo for your project, schedule and budget.
